In Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, we regularly organize business events that are always free and open to all students, regardless of the color of the overalls. Although we are constantly developing new ones, the following traditions have developed in our repertoire of events. Spotlight is Central Finland’s largest business event aimed at youth and young adults, and the biggest speaking event by JES, with a core focus on personal development. Every year, the event draws hundreds of participants on-site to Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. The main event explores four different themes, guided by inspiring professional speakers. From Spotlight, participants walk away with concrete advice for developing their own skills and practices, among other things. Prior to the main event, workshops covering similar themes are organized. The aim is to acquaint international students with the Finnish work culture and entrepreneurship. Sweatnesday is aimed specifically at international students, but anyone interested in an international atmosphere and entrepreneurship is more than welcome to network at the event! <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_blurb][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_blurb title=”Discovery Tuesday” image=”https:\/\/www.jkles.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Kuva7-scaled.jpg” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Discovery Tuesday is a five-week English-language entrepreneurship program where participants have the opportunity to develop a business idea in teams under the guidance of experienced entrepreneurs. Discovery Tuesday has five consecutive days of events on Tuesday nights and each time has its own theme related to the development of the business idea. For the first four times, the evening begins with a \u201csupercoach,\u201d a keynote speaker who talks about the day\u2019s theme and his or her own experiences. After this, the teams work on the theme and idea of the evening with the help of coaches. The final time is the final, where teams get to pitch their ideas to the jury, who choose the winner. <\/p>\n
